Johnson & Johnson Expands Tylenol Arthritis Recall (JNJ)

Dec 29, 2009 (SmarTrend(R) News Watch via COMTEX) -- JNJ | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- 12/29/2009-Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) is now recalling all product lots of the Arthritis Pain Caplet 100 count bottles with the red EZ-Open Cap, according to a statement on the Food and Drug Administration website.

The recall was due to a moldy odor that can cause nausea and stomach pain caused by trace amounts of the chemical 2, 4, 6-tribromoanisole resulting from the breakdown of another chemical used to treat wooden pallets.

Side effects also include vomiting

and diarrhea, but have been "temporary and non-serious."

All Tylenol Arthritis products, other than the lots specified, remain available.

Shares of Johnson & Johnson are unaffected in premarket trading on the news.

Tiger Woods ambulance news: 911 call for Barbro Holmberg, Woods mom-in-law

In the Tiger Woods ambulance story this update: the 911 call was made for Tiger Woods mother-in-law, Barbro Holmberg.

TMZ.com reports Barbro Holmberg, Elin Nordegren's mother and a Swedish Social Democratic politician, was rushed to the hospital after complaining of stomach pains.

According to the New York Daily News, Homberg she was appointed Minister for Migration and Asylum Policy in the Swedish Government on October 10, 2003 and left office October 6, 2006 after the Swedish government election.

Tiger Woods Ambulance Development: Vehicle Picked Up Elin Nordegren's Mother


This just in -- An ambulance dispatched to Tiger Woods' home late last night, around 2:30 local time, was picking up Woods' mother-in-law, Barbro Holmberg.

Holmberg, Elin Nordegren's mother and a Swedish politician, is in stable condition at this time.

Per RadarOnline, the 911 call was made from within Tiger Woods' home, and the woman was put on "advanced life support."

TMZ obtained a copy of the police dispatch for the Dec. 8 morning incident, which revealed it was medical related.
